HA God of the western desert and protector of the oasis, Ha is shown as a man with the symbol of the desert on his head. Ha played an important role in temple building, an activity that was overseen by the king but closely supervised by the gods. As a god of the desert, Ha was responsible for transporting the sand that would be used in the ceremony of placing the foundations of the temple. Being a god of the western desert, Ha was also responsible for warding off Egypt’s enemies from the west, the Libyans.
