Arrive at any time. There are no planned activities until an evening welcome meeting.
Tour the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx before a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum. Catch an overnight train to Aswan. Head straight to the pyramids and soak in the history of these majestic structures. Later, visit the Egyptian Museum to see artifacts that are more ancient. In the evening, board an overnight train to Aswan.
Explore Aswan before visiting a Nubian village and enjoy a home-cooked dinner with a local family. Enjoy some free time in the morning to browse the souk or walk along the Nile. Later, board a felucca (local boat) to reach Elephantine Island and visit a Nubian village. Walk around the small community, and then enjoy a traditional dinner at a local home.
Spend the day exploring Aswan. Opt to visit the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel. One of the fascinating sights in the area is the Temple of Abu Simbel. Later, opt for a half-day tour of the Unfinished Obelisk, High Dam, and Philae Temple. Then visit the modern Nubian Museum to learn more about Aswan’s local people.
Sail the Nile on a felucca with a support boat. Sleep onboard under the stars. Board the felucca. Then spend the rest of the day out on the river and a night under the stars.
Enjoy a guided visit Kom Ombo Temple before driving to Luxor. En route, then visit the Temple of Karnak.
Visit the Colossi of Memnon, Valley of the Kings, and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Then enjoy lunch with a local family on the West Bank of the Nile. Cross to the West Bank. Visit the massive 18m (59ft)-high Colossi of Memnon, which is all that remains of an ancient temple. Descend the narrow corridors and check out the tombs of the pharaohs at the Valley of the Kings. The Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut literally seems to rise out of the surrounding limestone outcrops. Enjoy lunch with a local family on the West bank of the Nile and then explore Luxor at your own pace.
Fly back to Cairo where the tour ends on arrival in the morning. We highly recommend booking pre- or post-accommodation to explore this vibrant city.

As a group of five women travelling to Egypt for the first time, we booked a private tour with Your Egypt Tours based on reviews we saw on Tripadvisor. We could not have found a better company or a better experience! From my first email to Mona Hamdy, customer service representative, I knew we were in good hands. Mona patiently answered all my questions, including very direct questions about safety... Was Egypt safe for tourists? Was it safe for women? And what she told us was true. Our group felt safe, well-informed and at ease throughout our trip, thanks in large part to our guides and drivers. Three of our group even camped overnight in the White Desert, an experience that each of us said made it to the top one or two experiences on our bucket lists! Throughout our 8-day adventure which included all the top sites and a 4 day Nile cruise, our guides and drivers were amazing! They not only contributed to our knowledge of Egypt's many splendours, they also made us feel special and welcome in their country. A big shout out to Mamdouh and Ash! You are both true ambassadors of your country, and we felt privileged to spend individual and group time with you learning about your country's history and its amazing culture. We also enjoyed meeting the owner of the company who took time out from his busy schedule to welcome us to Egypt. And if our Egypt hosts weren't special enough, everything else about the trip was also outstanding - the quality of hotels, the Nile cruise, the quality and variety of local food, trips to see local artisans doing their craft... I could go on and on! Suffice to say if Egypt is on your bucket trip, we believe this is a great time to see her treasures, learn about her history and meet her amazing people. And if you truly want a great experience, give Your Egypt Tours a call! You'll be amazed by their top-notch service, ability to deliver once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and passion they have for their country and for you, their clients! We'll be back!
