Cairo International Airport
Saturday. Welcome to the land of the pharaohs! Arrive in Cairo, including transfer to hotel and overnight. Overnight: Cairo
Today, we visit the legendary pyramids and iconic Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World. Gaze in awe at the largest of the three great pyramids – Cheops, constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it took more than 20 years to construct. We explore this area on foot and then on the back of a camel! Off we ride into the sands, our sturdy ships of the desert beneath us!
Overnight: Cairo | Breakfast
Cairo – Aswan. Today, we venture in search of the treasures of King Tutankhamen, mummies, and more at the Egyptian Museum. Later we tour the Islamic Citadel of Saladin with views looking down over the old city, watching people go about their daily life. We conclude the day with a market walk through the bustling Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Time to freshen up, this evening we take the comfortable overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Overnight: Sleeper Train | Breakfast, Dinner
This morning we arrive in Aswan and explore the Nubian city on a guided walk of the local market and souq. Scenically located on the Nile, a walk along the riverside corniche to view the many boats is a real treat, as is Aswan bazaar. Free afternoon. Overnight: Aswan | Breakfast
A free day or opt for the morning air excursion to Abu Simbel. The remainder of the afternoon at leisure; maybe relax by the pool, take a stroll along the Nile corniche or explore the lively marketplace. Overnight: Aswan | Breakfast
Aswan – Luxor. This morning we board a motor boat and cruise in and around the islands located on the Nile, before stopping at Seheil Island island where we visit a local village and school (if open); sometimes there is even a local football game in action. Lunch will be served in the home of an Egyptian family followed by the train north to Luxor, one of the world’s greatest open-air museums. The 4000-year-old site of ancient Thebes, known today as Luxor, is our base for the next three days.
Overnight: Luxor | Breakfast, Lunch
Today we visit Karnak Temple. More than a temple, Karnak is a spectacular complex of sanctuaries, pylons, statuettes, and obelisks. Built on a grand scale, Karnak is probably Egypt’s finest ancient temple. This afternoon is free to wander along Luxor’s historic waterfront. This evening, we travel in horse-drawn carriages to the illuminated Temple of Luxor where we enjoy a tour in the cool evening air. Overnight: Luxor | Breakfast
Luxor – Cairo. Today, we visit Luxor’s legendary West Bank – home to the famous Valleys of the Kings, the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the gigantic Colossi of Memnon. See how the ancient Egyptians confounded tomb robbers with the construction of elaborate catacombs, once filled with treasures and highly decorated to allow the pharaoh passage to the afterlife. Tonight, we return to Cairo by sleeper train.

Arriving in Cairo this morning, the rest of the day is free to explore Africa’s largest city. Spend the day around the pool, or perhaps head out, explore and take the family for a nice lunch at one of the city’s many hotels. Overnight: Cairo | Breakfast

My family and I do a lot of traveling around the world. Your Egypt Tours is legitimately one of the best , if not THE BEST tour company we have ever worked with. For those seeking a quick opinion, go with Your Egypt Tours, you will not regret it. If you are looking for more details, read on.
My wife, her parents and I decided to go on a family trip to Egypt, along with our 2 kids, ages 2 and 4. After researching different tour companies in Egypt and after reading dozens of reviews, we decided to contact Your Egypt Tours.
We received a quick response from Mona who sent us multiple itinerary options at different price points. She was always patient, courteous and prompt in her responses. After dozens of emails between my wife and Mona, we came up with a final itinerary, customized to our family's needs and preferences. We paid a deposit via a secured link.
Although our itinerary was finalized, my wife continued researching Egypt and reading about what the country had to offer. Every time she came across something interesting or had questions, she contacted Mona. Mona responded to our questions, put us in touch with travel specialists, adjusted the itineraries and coordinated all the changes that needed to be made. My wife felt comfortable and at ease all along this tedious process.
When preparing for our trip, I had to apply for a VISA to Egypt ahead of time ( My wife and kids hold American passports, but I don't). Things got a bit complicated because I applied way too late. I started stressing about the whole thing and decided to inform Your Egypt Tours. Not only did they help, they went above and beyond to help me with the process. Their intervention was critical.
Once we got to Egypt, we were received by Mohamed, the airport representative/coordinator. He helped us get through immigration, deal with our luggage and expedite the process. He was friendly, genuine and extremely helpful. We were off to a fantastic start. Once out of the airport we were met by Ahmed the trip coordinator. He gave us a quick overview of what to come, what to expect and what to do/avoid. He then dropped us off at our hotel ( The Kempinski).
The next day, we were met by Mamdouh, the senior Egyptologist, along with our driver, Mamdouh (yes, same name). We spent the next 3 days together, touring Cairo and Alexandria. We had a planned itinerary with the flexibility to make changes when we needed. Mamdouh was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The driver was amazing and drove us safely in the crazy Cairo traffic. We enjoyed their company very much.
We were met again by Ahmed who drove us to the airport for our Aswan flight. Mohamed was waiting for us at the airport and like the first time, made the process seamless.Once in Aswan, we were met by a company representative who took us to our hotel. The next day, we were met by Ashraf (Ash), the second tour guide who would spend the following 3/4 days on the cruise with us. Ashraf was professional, knowledgeable, hardworking and very friendly. We loved our cruise experience and our experience in Aswan and Luxor. Our second driver, Salah, was fantastic as well.
Our return flight was rescheduled by the airline. Your Egypt Tours rebooked our hotel, rearranged our transfer and took care of every little detail.
We had a chance to meet the owner, Mr. Adil, who was generous, down to earth, welcoming and kind which explains why the other members of this company were so wonderful.
Throughout this trip, we did not have to think about anything, despite the fact that our trip involved an incredible amount of logistics.
We couldn't have been happier with our experience in Egypt. The country has so much to offer and the trip wouldn't have been the same if it weren't for the incredible work done by Your Egypt Tours. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to book a trip to that wonderful country.
I recently traveled with my wife, daughter, son in law and two grandsons (ages 4 and 2) to Egypt with Your Egypt Tours. We had a private tour experience. From the moment we landed at the airport on our arrival to the day we left we were treated with the utmost care and attention. Every pick up and drop pick up was timely and seamless. We visited many places, had several unexpected airline changes that impacted our schedule and we had to make some adjustments to our itinerary based on the needs of the kids. In every situation, Your Egypt Tours was there to support us and help us. Their sensitivity and understanding made every situation easier. In spite of a hectic schedule we felt safe and relaxed throughout our time in Your Egypt Tour's hands.
The two main guides we had during our trip were Mohamed and Ashraf (Ash). I could not have asked for more knowledgeable, accommodating or friendlier guides. We all felt so comfortable with them. There were lots of laughs along with the more serious questions and discussions about the remarkable ancient history we were seeing and learning about it. The trip also included meeting and dinner with the company's owner. Having met Adel Abu El Naga, we understood where the professionalism and hospitality of all the people we had contact with on our tour derived from. He sets the tone.
My wife and I have traveled all over the world - China, Japan, South East Asia, Cuba South Africa, Europe, Central America. We have experienced many different types of tour companies. Based on those experiences and our experience in Egypt I give Your Egypt Tours my highest recommendation.

Your Egypt Tours ~ thank you for the magical journey!
My family of four, with our 8- and 13-year-old children, embarked on an incredible trip to Egypt in late December 2012. What a magical journey we had! I have to start by giving a big thank you to Ana the customer service manager, for helping my husband and I plan this amazing family vacation. We had numerous e-mail exchanges to finalize our customized itinerary. No question—from inquiring about educational activities for our children to safety concerns—was silly or ignored; everything was answered in detail and reassurance, which made our trip planning a delight. I have to say that I never worked with someone as diligent, patient and helpful as Ana. She has good command of English, which made it easier to communicate and set up everything from the actual tours to the accommodations and flights.
Since our experience with Ana was great, we were confident that the delivery of services would be the same. All our expectations were far exceeded starting with our Egyptologists/guides offering a wealth of knowledge, to the drivers and representatives providing courteous, prompt and reliable service. Our guide in Cairo was Taha and in Luxor/Aswan was Ashraf (“Ash”). We were very impressed with how knowledgeable they both were about history and the current affairs in the country as well as with their patience and flexibility to meet our very diverse needs and interests. Ash was so good with our children who were fascinated by his historical narrations bringing ancient Egyptian history to life. My 8-year old son at one point said to us, “Mommy when I grow up, I want to be an Egyptologist, just like Ash!” Both Ana and the owner, Adel, checked in with us and our guides by phone throughout our trip to make sure we were pleased with their services.
Unlike what we heard on the news the months prior to our trip, Egypt was very safe. I was more hesitant than my husband who works in the news media. But he was right, Egypt turned out to be safer than many cities we have been to, including cities in the US! We arrived right when they were wrapping up the second round of voting for their new constitution, which by the way did not interfere at all with our itinerary. Like many other travelers here, we felt not only safe but also welcomed and showered with warm-hearted Egyptian hospitality. So do not believe the international media when trying to decide whether this is a good time to go to Egypt. It is probably the best time, especially if you do not like crowded sites.
Thank you again to all of you who made our trip a reality, a true magical journey!
All our best,
The Carlson family
