Arrive in Cairo, meet and assist at the international airport of the sprawling city of the pharaohs. Check in to your hotel amid lush gardens overlooking the Great Pyramids
This afternoon, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where the treasures of Tutankhamun — and artifacts dating back to 4000 BC — reveal Egypt’s artistic and architectural heritage. View the Mummy Room, housing the remains of many kings and queens of Ancient Egypt, including Ramses II, Egypt’s longest-ruling pharaoh
Tour the Giza Plateau, the site of the Pyramids of Menkaure, Khafre, and the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the only survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Continue to the Great Sphinx, guardian of the royal tombs from the third millennium BC. Learn about mummification when you visit the valley temple of king Chephren.
Check out from the hotel in the morning then transfer to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor where you will be met and assisted, then taken by an air-conditioned vehicle to board your 5-star Egypt Nile cruise to check-in. After lunch on board, enjoy a visit to the impressive Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name I pet-it means “the most sacred of places.” The temple, or, more correctly, the complex of temples, was built over more than 2,000 years by generation after generation of pharaohs. Within the complex, you will find the great “Hypostyle Hall,” which is an incredible forest of giant pillars. After this, you will be transferred to Luxor temple, which was built by Amenhotep III, and Ramses II for rituals and festivals dedicated to the god Amen. Dinner and overnight on board Nile cruise
After breakfast on your Nile cruise, you will visit the West Bank of the River Nile to visit the two colossal statues (Colossi of Memnon). Following this, you will visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent pharaonic tombs were discovered. Continue the tour to visit the Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahary, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut. Then you will visit the Valley of the Queens. You will head back to your cruise ship for lunch. After having afternoon tea on the ship, you will have free time at leisure. Enjoy a leisurely dinner aboard the cruise. Overnight on board Nile Cruise
Continue cruising to Edfu to the Temple of Horus, the falcon headed god. Built in 230 BC by Ptolemy III, this stunningly preserved structure reveals what temple worship in Ancient Egypt was like. Disembark at Kom Ombo (“hill of gold”) to visit the Greco-Roman temple dedicated to Haroeris (the sun god) and Sobek (the crocodile god). Crocodile once based on this stretch of Nile shore; several of their mummies are now on display
This morning, cruise to Aswan and board a motorized boat for a short ride to Philae Temple on the island of Agilika, moved here and painstakingly reconstructed to avoid flooding when Aswan’s High Dam was built. Continue sightseeing at the famous granite quarries, the site of the enormous Unfinished Obelisk — a monolith illustrating the extraordinary skills of Egypt’s stonemasons. End the day sailing around the Aswan islands in a felucca, a small sailboat (weather permitting).
Leave your cruise and fly to Abu Simbel, the site of the commanding temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari. Four enormous statues of the pharaoh dominate the former’s façade. Afterward, return to Cairo for a leisurely afternoon
After a relaxing morning, explore the Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan. Built-in AD 1356, it is one of the largest in the Islamic world and among the finest examples of early Mamluk architecture. From here, walk from Bab el-Fotouh to Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, where stalls display spices, leather goods, and jewelry. The street itself — running from the imposing, fortified Fotouh Gate to the Zuweila Gate — has hardly changed in centuries. Bargaining is expected, so prepare to negotiate. Gather for a farewell dinner this evening

I had the most extraordinary time with Your Egypt Tours, the drivers and guides - Mahmoud and Beko were excellent, knowledgeable and passionate and were attentive to my needs. Many great conversations and awe inspiring places to visit makes this a trip of a lifetime for people who want an immersive experience with egyptologist guides at some iconic, bucket list places. The hotels and cruise were great, the train was pretty good in terms of quality as it is state run, but it was also great to overnight and observe the sights and sounds of urban and quieter life in Egypt. I was a solo traveller and wasn't stressed about anything, got picked up and dropped back to the airport and was assisted in navigating entry and exit. Met lots of people and enjoyed quality times over our shared awe for Egypt. Would recommended. 5 stars.

Egypt is not an “easy” destination to visit by any means. But the team at Your Egypt Tours took care of us every single step of the way - our trip to Egypt would not have been what it was without their experience and impeccable professionalism. From Mona who answered all of our questions about the tour and Mohamed who greeted us right after we stepped off the plane and helped us through immigration/customs, to the incredibly knowledgeable guides Mamdouh and Ash, each member of staff went above and beyond to make our trip as enjoyable, safe and fuss-free as possible. I should note that we typically prefer to travel on our own instead of through tour companies/agencies - but our time in Egypt was made complete by the knowledge of the Your Egypt Tours egyptologists. They know the history and mythology like the back of their hands, and regaled us with rich stories and tales from Egyptian history. Without them we would have just been looking at ancient temples and tombs without any context, insider tips and information. They also waited for us patiently as we continued to explore the sites on our own to take more photos. If you are planning your dream trip to Egypt, get in touch with Your Egypt Tours. You won’t regret it.
