My husband and I worked with Mona Hamdy to construct a private 8 day itinerary that included Cairo, Luxor, and all of our transportation needs. Mona was extremely responsive and it was a fantastic trip! We felt completely safe (people were very friendly, no trouble at all), felt like we really explored each city, and had no problems getting around. Everything was done on time, with a high level of quality, and was very affordable for US standards. Also, we planned one free/non-tour day in each city and that was worth it to decompress a bit.
Both of our guides were superb, and it was a luxury to be shuttled from one place to the next with a private, water-stocked, air-conditioned van! Cairo is insanely busy, like a New York on steroids, and having this luxury was worth every penny. Our Cairo guide, Mamdouh, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. In Luxor, our guide, Ash, was a wonderful person to meet and helped us make our vacation an unforgettable one. Both guides made all the sightseeing very rewarding, recommended great restaurants, gave us suggestions, and more. My husband teaches world history and knows a lot about Egypt, but even he agrees that we saw wonderful places we never would have checked out in the first place, and both of us learned far more than expected with our guides. We *highly* recommend using Your Egypt Tours in Egypt!
