Your private guide will meet and pick you up from your hotel in Luxor.
The tour begins with the Karnak temple, which is a complex of temples. The temple is dedicated to Amun Ra, the chief god in Egyptian mythology. Enjoy the Great Hypostyle court and the reliefs and murals that were added through the generations. Feel astonished at the tall obelisks 70 feet high and cut off a single piece of granite. Look at the statues of the different pharaohs who want to show their loyalty to RA. Keep an eye on the magnificent tall columns and their papyrus and Lotus capitals while their shafts are loaded with hieroglyphics.
Following this, you will go for a short drive to Luxor temple. Originally, both temples were connected with the Ram-Headed Sphinxes Avenue. The connection was to celebrate the annual visit of Ra from Karnak to his wife Mut in Luxor. The temple of Luxor witnessed many historical eras and has its extensions and additions along the ages. Different structures and murals show the Greek, Roman, Islamic, and Coptic influences.
Stare at the statues and obelisks of Ramses II. There should be two obelisks at the entrance of the temple but one of them was sent to Paris
You will enjoy having lunch during the tour in a local restaurant in Luxor and finally, you will drive to Luxor airport and fly back to Cairo.

Beautiful Luxor City We visited Luxor early June 2014, and stayed at the Sheraton Hotel (Great place to stay). Our tour guide Ash was brilliant, explaining all the historical facts and taking us on the East & West Bank Tours. He was very patient, considering we were with our 3-year-old child; he picked us up nice and early from the hotel and made the tour informative but fun and exciting. He also took us to a local perfume maker and they gave us a demonstration on how it is made and explained about the different essences. Overall we had a great time and we are very excited to come back to Egypt.
